Windstorm Causes Property Damage in Florence?

6/27/2023 (Permalink)

Powerlines and fallen trees block a street in a neighborhood. We restore storm damage “Like it never even happened” in Lane County.

Florence residents and businesses have relied on our local South Eugene and Florence teams to restore storm damage for many years. Powerful windstorms are known to cause property damage, knocking down trees and powerlines. Anything not tied down can become a flying projectile that can damage anything in its wake. The City of Florence asks residents to report damage from fallen trees and powerlines by calling 911.

Downed Power Lines

Additionally, the City of Florence cautions people to stay clear of downed power lines and downed trees in their area, even if they believe that the lines are dead or have been de-energized by the power company. This is because power lines can become re-energized as circuits are restored or come in contact with live lines. Finally, the city warns that power company assessment crews may visit sites before the repair crews so they urge residents to not make assumptions that the lines have been de-energized because a power company crew has visited the site.
